Chevy 1500 AC/Heater Problems

Hi;

I have a problem with my AC going directly to heat on it’s own, on the driver’s side only. I have tried doing these simple steps recommended on another site: start the car, turn it off with AC still on, disconnect battery cables, connect disconnected + and - to drain memory chip and put cables back on, and it’s good to go. Well not for me! It works for about 30 seconds and the driver’s side switches right back over to heat again. Any suggestions?
