Hi , my question is about a 2012 Chevy Silverado with 4.3 L V6 with 40k miles. Every few weeks a message pops up on dash. It says"engine hot ac turned off". When this happens, the electric radiator fans come on full power, the temp gage turns off, the ac will not turn on. The check engine light does not come on. The truck will stay in this condition indefinitely. Turning engine off and on does not reset it. The vehicle is not hot or low on coolant. The first time this happened it was in the cold of winter and the truck was ice cold and just started. This was 9 months ago. I changed the coolant temp sensor, no difference. I investigated on YouTube and found a lot of talk about this problem, but no real answer. Any help would really be appreciated. I’m lost . Thanks for listening.
