I have a 2003 chev. truck, 2003, S10 LS base. Whenever I need to take cables off the battery or change the battery, the truck will start up when I reconnect the battery without a key in the slot. If I had my hand on the fan when I did this, the fan blade would cut my hands. It does this all the time. It does have a remote start up without a kye. Is there a recall on this or what can I do to correct it.
Is this an aftermarket remote start? Does it have a separate fuse? If so, pull it before working on the battery.
