check keyless starting system light

Hello, guys

I have a civic 2014, and the problem is that check keyless starting system light. I changed the control battery, but the issue persist. Every works fine (open and close doors, open the trunk, proximity unlock) it’s just the light on the dashboard. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

The key fob may have gone bad somehow. It happens from time to time.

Do you have a spare key available? Now is the time to make sure you do, because the car could suddenly decide to not start in the middle of the night on you.

Personally, I’d go to either a locksmith or even the Honda dealer and get a brand new key made.

The keyless access system has detected a fault. There are oscillators throughout the interior to detect the electronic key, one of those sensors may have failed. Also, does the passenger outside door handle respond to the touch?

Don’t go to an auto parts store to have the PCM checked for fault codes, they won’t be in the engine computer. You need a manufacture level scan tool to connect to the keyless access module to check operation and for faults.
