intake manifolod runner control stuck, and system to lean bank 1.can you tell me how to correct that?
What year and how many miles? Have you keep up with maintenance?
What was the code? Format: “P1234”
How do you know that the intake manifold runner control is stuck? Can you see it? Is there a DTC trouble code for that?
i have 129000 miles,and ive done the maintenance,the code was p2004.
The first thing I would do is check the electricals - wiring, harness, connections - check for proper voltage and resistance. You can probably find the specs in a repair manual. Maybe even in Autozone’s online manuals.
Have a look at this - might help:

ok thanks, ill start there,is that a major part?
In theory, P2004 is an SAE defined DTC code meaning “Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open (Bank 1)”. What’s an Intake Maniforld Runner Control? Apparently it is a gidgie that delivers a richer mixture to the cylinders at high engine speeds by shutting off part of the air supply.
I think that you need to find a mechanic who knows what an Intake Manifold Runner Control is (I suspect that many won’t) and get him or her to diagnose exactly what has failed and fix the problem. It sounds like this may be a couple of hundred dollar repair, not a mortgage the house and sell the first born male son into slavery type repair, but I could be wrong.
"a gidgie that delivers a richer mixture to the cylinders at high engine speeds by shutting off part of the air supply. "
I’m pretty sure it is the opposite - I think the generic term is “secondaries” - the second intake port that opens above a certain rpms to feed more air. My escort has it - series of electronically controlled butterflies on the intake.
