Approximately how much does it cost (parts and labor) to replace a catalytic converter on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica?
Depends on where you get it…Can range from $300 to $1500.
And I’d also be highly suspect that a vehicle that new needs a new Cat. Most of the time it’s just a faulty O2 sensor.
I agree. A second and then a third opinion may save you a lot of money.
Since no one else has asked yet, how many miles? Based on year alone, the catalytic converter should be under warranty still, unless you’ve surpassed 80,000 miles.
I didn’t even think about that…since my 05 has over 150k miles on it.
Don’t spend a penny just yet! eraser1998 is right. There’s a federal emissions warranty over and above manufacturer’s warranty: 8 years old, or 80,000 miles on the odometer, whichever comes first. Call your local Chrysler dealer w/registration in hand.
