How much should it cost me to get a new catalitic converter installed and a tune up on my 2000 Ford Focus ZX3?
Possibly nothing for the catalytic converter; in most US states there is a federally-mandated 8 year/80,000 mile warranty. I believe in California the warranty may be even better.
I believe the op’s car should be past that warranty. I am with my 2005. OP’s car is 8 years old…that’s only 10k miles a year.
Aftermarket or factory converter? There will be a BIG difference in price. This car has no “tune-up” requirement. Mileage?
OE parts about $900.00 unless you know someone and work a discount deal.
