Hey! I’m hoping I can reach out to you this way. I was researching some things for my car and I found this and my car is doing the exact same thing and I put a new starter and battery in it thinking it would fix the problem but my car is doing the same thing where the dash lights and everything else comes on but it’s not making any noises in the motor and my radio is not working and I was wondering what fuse you changed out. If you could get back to me I would really appreciate it
Well this was about 6 years ago, but as I remember, the fuse was only a stopgap solution. The new fuse burnt out a few days later. It kept doing that until I put in a new starter. The mechanic said that because the starter was worn out, it kept drawing way too much current leading to blown fuses.
The actual fuse I can’t remember. I just looked at the fuses until I saw the one that was clearly burnt out. It had a black scorch mark and since it was semi-transparent I could see where the contact was broken.
