I have a 1996 Mercury Sable with 115,00 miles. When you stop the car and then accelerate the car will not move. You will have to put the car in park and then drive for it to go. Any ideas?
When was the last time the transmission fluid level and and condition of the fluid was checked?

You’ll have to visit a tranny shop. This sounds like a problem with the trany control module.

level and filter are ok.
