I have a 97 Accord and decent condition. Over the last month my Sony head unit has begun giving me static.
After about 20 to 30 minutes of driving radio stations make a few seconds of static. CDs work fine. All the stations get the static. Every morning and evening my radio works with no problem until I am near my work or home (about 30 minutes). Then is become unbearable to listen
I pulled the radio out and checked the antenna wire, it is plugged in. The car has a powered antenna built into the back window. The antenna works better then my wifes, I get stations clearer then she does at our home. Until the static begins.

your head unit may be overheating. Check that.
