2005 T-bird, premium edition, purchased new, has 16K mi.

Car Talk is a distant, scratchy miserable experience on my regional NPR station (OPB, KRBM)

Here’s a list of stations that broadcast OPB. Is there one closer to you?

Most FM stations broadcast within a 40 mile radius of the tower. You might try the AM stations on the list. They typically have a greater range. Lastly, KRBM might have lower power than some more distant stations. Try a few and see it any work better.
