Can I use a 2015 seat Ibiza instrumental cluster for a 1997 Honda accord vtec 2.2 engine (This is like a formula 1 kind of car)

The Accords gauges are also digital/computer controlled, but not CAN bus level. However it would be pure folly to try to re engineer the Seat gauges. I mean isnt this vehicle more Honda than Seat at this point by percentage? Unless you are a computer/code writing whiz forget about it.

But since the Honda ECU is running that engine…it can also run its gauges… so again…why even ponder the use of the Seat product?

Stranger things have been attempted I’m sure, but count me out… Use the Honda parts and its almost a no brainer.

I had a 97 Accord and FSM and IIRC that is not quite true. They are computer controlled in that they get all their commands from the PCM, but I believe that the PCM sent the commands to a DA converter and the gauges were analog. Except possibly the gas gauge, it may have used a stepper motor.
