Can anyone tell me where the camshaft position sensor is on a Mazda Protege5 2003. I can’t seem to find any information about this particular car.

It looks like there’s a 1.6L and 20.L engine, but both are supposed to have that sensor off the right end of the engine near or on the camshaft pulley. You should be able to find the wire(s) and access the connector without removing the timing cover or any camshaft components. Take a look near the end of the valve cover. See if that helps.
