Passenger side cam seal is seal is seaping oil every other day when cleaned off, car has 132k. Recieved an estimate from acura dealer $180.00.They also told me that no repair was nesesary at this time,because no oil was being added or driping on the ground.I will be driving the car on long trip of 2500 miles. Should I invest in qt. of oil or will it be ok on this long trip?
Just check it when you stop for gas. Buy a quart of and when yo need it.
The seal is highly unlikely to fail catastropically, it’ll just leak more as time goes on. And its leaking does not cause damage to anything else.
