I was wondering if anyone knew where and how to locate/replace the cabin air filter in a 2005 Ford Taurus ??
Maybe you can buy a maintenance manual at the auto parts store.
It’s under the cowl on the passenger side. Remove the cowl & you’ll see the filter.
Thanks for the info. I’ll take a look. I’ve never removed the cowl on the Taurus but it looks relatively easy.
Good call jayjay. Open the hood and remove the U shaped flat metal clips that hold down the plastic cowl cover. Carefully remove the cabin filter and when you replace it just be careful you don’t kink it & it sits in its seat properly. While you have the filter out it worth getting a spray can of disinfectant for the HVAC system. You can get it at the Zone or Advance even though I really don’t like getting parts from those chains. It’s about $9.00 but well worth it.
