I have 2001 Honda Civic with 199200 miles. When I had it serviced last month, I was told the bushings were getting worn and I needed to have them changed. What are they and how does it cost to have them fixed?
Acutually it is 119200 miles on it not 199200!
What bushings? There is bushings on front end and rear end. Be a little more specific please.
Bushings are rubber, and attach the lower suspension arm to the body of the car. It is made of rubber to help absorb vibrations from normal road imperfections. They can wear out, and make setting the alignment impossible. Once they allow too much ‘slop’, replacing them is the only option.
