I have 1984 Pontiac Sunbird. After 5 trips to the mechanic, it is still bucking while losing power in 1st and 2nd gears. Mechanic tuned it, changed the fuel filter and Emission Gas Recalculator. Now it bucks and makes chugging sound. Winter is coming here in New England and waiting for the bus in snow bites! Help!
There may be a problem with the valave timing that is causing the problem. If that isn’t it then check the fuel pressure and make sure it is ok.
Thanks Cougar, also he ran a computer diagnostic and it came back “58X” Any idea what that means?
Also, its a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird SE, not 1984 …sorry
