My brake light is on; I get a message in the dashboard to disengage parking brake. The brake is diengaged. The brake fluid is above the min line but not all the way at the max. Any ideas? Anyone know how to least shut off the annoying alarm?
Have the parking brake cable adjusted because its not tight enough.
The parking brake handle switch is defective, or, the brake fluid level sensor in the master cylinder reservoir is defective.

First, just add a little brake fluid. If the light goes out, then that was the issue. Next, have your brakes inspected. I suspect you are not long for a brake job.
