I have a 2005 VW Passat. The front left and right axle were replaced and since then, I have noticed that the ASR (ESP) hazard light will blink and engage the brakes when I hit 60mph. The light is never constant, it will only blink on and off a couple of times. I’ve taken it back to the same shop…they claim they’ve checked the sensors but the problem still persists. I’ve also taken it to an authorized VW dealership…they indicate it’s a problem with the sensors…obviously, I could have them try and fix it, but hesitate to pay for something that the other garage should fix.

Did they test the sensors, or just check to see that they’re in place and connected?
Yes, that’s a reasonable question…I assume they tested the sensors, but will follow up with them to determine specifically. Thanks
