The best oil is the very same oil you have always used to get this car to 168K.
If this car is new to you, open the owners manual to find the proper grade oil - 5w30 is what I see as correct. Use a quality oil and change it on the severe duty cycle. Either conventional or synthetic. Usually severe duty is 5000 miles. Check the oil level everytime you fill it with fuel as older engines tend to use more and you don’t want to run low.
