Just wondering if someone could help me out. I’m looking to buy a 2000 Honda Civic and I know that it will need a timing belt, but I don’t know how much that job costs and all the local repair shops are closed. Does anyone out there know?
300-400 usually
My civic was done at the local Honda dealership in Marion for $427 and some change before tax. They did the compressor, alternator, and timing belt and the water pump and changed the coolant.
Depending on the mileage you may wish to change all the belts and the water pump at the same time as it saves labor cost. Muast take off all belts to get to pump etc in the future so may be a good preventative maint.
