A friend of mine has a 2004 Olds Alero, 2.2L Ecotec. The car’s anti-theft system will intermittently arm if the car does not start immediately on the first crank, normally if she does not hold the key in ‘crank’ long enough, resulting in a no-start condition. I can’t for the life of me remember how to reset the anti-theft system on this particular car. Does anybody here know how to do this?
This is an idea so don’t shoot. Try getting out of the car and locking then unlocking the drivers door using the key.
I believe that works on a Honda, but not sure on a GM. Thank you for the input.
