Acetone added to fuel

Will adding a small amount of acetone to a car fuel improve MPG.

No. But it may attack parts of your fuel system.

No, but it makes a dandy paint and nail polish remover.

this question has appeared many times.

if you calculate how much a gallon of acetone costs, compare to a gallon of fuel, you will find out, (even if it will increase mpg) it will not benefit you.

so why risk gaskets, washers and orings deterioration?

No, it will do nothing to increase your mpg and it does horrible things to your onion rings.
