I have a 2002 Volvo S60 and this week the check engine light and the ABS brake light came on. I took it to the Volvo shop yesterday and they told me that the ABS control module needs to be replaced and the software as well. The estimate for this repair came out to be about $1500, does that sound about right?

I used their service and it cost me $200 plush shipping and my time removing and reinstalling the module .
Labor for remove and install amounted to about an hour .
Sounds about right for a dealer.
