I own a 2001 Dodge 2500 diesel that I bought new. When I bought it the tires on the truck were Lt265/75/R16, but the label on the door jamb was Lt245/75/R16. When I put the brkes on they feel like they are working, but then I hear a clunk and the brakes feel like they rlease. The other thing I noticed is in hard stop the brake never seems to pulesate.
The tire size is an option.
If the tires do not slip on a wet or snow/ice surface when the brakes are applied (regardless how hard) the ABS will not activate.
The ‘clunk’ noise may be from a possible worn brake part or suspension component.
