A very odd question

Have got a 30 something ft aluminum trailer truck box from 60s.with price of scrap metal wanna cash in…anyone got any ideas how much this weighs…its a single axle, box its self is aluminum and doors also…was just wondering…thanks

Do you have a tractor to pull it? If so, you might go to a weighing station and check the wright with and without the trailer. The difference is the trailer. Of course, you need to subtract the wheels and axles. You might calling a few auto recycling center to see what they’d pay, since that’s who will end up buying it anyway. My guess is that you could get a few hundred for it. Aluminum is not all that expensive.

This source quotes about $0.70 per pound. But there is a middle man to feed, so you won’t get that much.
