I have a 98 Ford Ranger 4X4 with 27,000
miles. I currently use synthetic oil because
the truck only racks up 2000 miles a year.I
usually change the oil every 6 months. When should I change other fluids? brake,differential etc) .The tires are original equipment,should I replace them?
Read owners manual it will tell you mileage and time when things need replaced.
Owners manual is useless as far as low mileage trucks are concerned. If I used that information I’d be due for my 30,000 mile checkup in 16 months. I think the life span of some of the fluids is shorter than 12 years.I just got some good advice from the Ford Club.
