I have a 97 camry with the passenger side brake light that does not work. The bulb works and the socket does not have any visible corrosion. Need help, thanks for your attention.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you need to use a meter or continuity tester and check for power from the socket back toward the brake light switch.
You need to check to see if the socket has power and ground. Sometimes the socket has a connector to the wires and that connector may have some corrosion. Also note that not all corrosion is visible. I suggest a clean pencil eraser is a good tool for cleaning those contacts.
