Have been having to jump car off some-usually in AM but not always. Now the ignition switch turns without clicking and the dash lights stay on all the time-even when the key is removed. Car won’t start at all. Replaced the ingition switch w/o fixing the problem. It’s like having the key always in the on position.
The ignition switch is two parts: the switch, and the lock. Whichever part you changed, you need to change the other part. Unplug the ignition switch. Do the dash lights go off? If so, the problem is with the switch, the lock, or the linkage between the two.
