93' Jeep Grand Cherokee 318 All wheel drive

When I went to start my jeep this morning it tried to turnover but automatically my alarm came on. I tried to charge the battery but the alarm comes on every time I try to start. HELP!!!

Other websites mention using the key in the driver’s door lock to lock and then unlock the car to reset the break-in alarm. A newer owner’s manual (2004) says:

To start the vehicle following connection of a
booster battery, the Security Alarm System must first be
disabled by cycling a front door key cylinder or by using
the keyless entry transmitter.
That information doesn’t indicate whether you lock first and then unlock or unlock first and then lock, so try both ways.
