I own a 1986 Ford F-250 7.5L V-8. At random times the engine won’t turn over when I turn the ignition. The lights don’t dim, the radio stays on, yet getting a jump will start the engine again and it stays good for a couple of weeks or more before the same thing happens.
I’m wondering if the battery is low enough to trip a voltage meter in the truck and prevent it from turning over, but not low enough to effect the lights or radio.
Or, any other ideas?
thanks!!!
You have a poor connection in the battery cables somewhere. Most likely at the battery itself.
