Hard steering at slow speeds. I am looking at a Datsun 280Z 2+2 1976 for my girl friend and the steering is almost to hard for her to turn the wheel while parking. I know that it has manual steering but it is ludicrisly hard even for me.
I had the 280Z model without the 2+2 option years ago. It had power steering. Are you sure this vehicle has manual steering? The rack and pinion steering is a bear to turn when it has problems. I suggest that you take the vehicle to a mechanic that is familiar with these vehicles. They are great fun if they work but they are money pits if they break.
