I have a 93 Nissan D21 truck with 73000 miles on it. My problem is the manual steering is really stiff. It seems to take more effort than it should to turn the steering wheel. Is there someway to adjust this?
The first thing to check is tire pressure. Has this been done? One tire down a bit can make a huge difference in the steering feel.
Owned the truck for a while? Just making sure this is not a recent purchase and you’re comparing steering feel to a prior vehicle.
Thank you for the reply. I am a new owner of this vehicle so you are right in that I don’t have a good feel to compare it to. My other vehicles are power steering, however I still think this is too hard to turn. I did check tire pressure and had to add some, but this still seems stiff. I should probably find someone who has a better feel for this than I do.
