2019 Nissan Armada BCI malfunction

BCI malfunction. The car will not start, reverse, drive, brakes randomly, etc. Started at 7k.

It’s a known problem with Armadas. Since the vehicle is only a year old have it towed to the Nissan dealer and fixed under warranty.

They replaced the brake switch. Will wait to see if it happens again.

keep records of EVERYTHING- even if you take it in and they don’t find anything wrong. Make them give you a copy of an invoice stating they looked at it.

Hopefully that won’t be an issue, but if it comes down to replacing this car, you need a solid paper trail.

So, here’s the article that explains the reasons that are currently known for triggering this warning: article. With every update and bulletin, new problems pop up and the BCI Malfunction warning keeps torturing the owners
