sam as above . about 3.1 years into owning the CX-9 (2019), the folding mirrors stopped folding all the way. Unable to turn them off. Dealer wants $1,500 to fix.

THIS seems to be a common problem. they have a TSB for it to be covered under the warranty. but it looks like you just missed that.
