2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid - Dead battery

My 2019 ford fusion hybrid was sitting for approximately 36 to 48 hours without being driven. After that i noticed my alarm was not engaged, and i was locked out of my car. I manually entered the car and could see no signs of life. The whole car was totally 100% lifeless. NO electricity!

Hmm, no 5/50000 warranty on powertrain? Battery warranty?

The 12 volt auxiliary battery has failed, this is not covered by the powertrain warranty.

For my education, the 12 v battery controls all functions except the power battery?

Each vehicle computer requires 12 volts to operate, vehicle can’t operate if there is no power to operate the hybrid computer.

Same symptoms as when my 12V died on my MKZ hybrid. Jumping didn’t work, had to replace it.

If the OP doesn’t have another car to transport the dead battery to a parts store for the exchange and purchase of a new battery, his best bet is a mobile battery service. If the OP isn’t a AAA member, he can still get their mobile service to replace his battery for him, but there is a $25 extra charge for non-members.

The 12 volt standard-use automobile battery problem is a frequent topic here. OP can use forum search link, upper right on this page, to see what others have said. To avoid this problem in the future, the aux 12 volt battery should probably be replaced proactively every 4 years, 3 years in hot climates.
