AWD problem light goes on, dealer can’t figure it out.Car loses power of a short time.
Are there any diagnostic codes in the various computer module’s memory ? Ask your shop to double check for history, pending, & current diagnostic codes in the powertrain control module (pcm), transmission control module (tcm), & body control module.
What exactly happens when the car loses power? Does the engine stall? Or does the engine continue to run, but seems to have not much power, can’t accelerate beyond 30 mph? Does the check engine light ever turn on?
Have you replaced a tire lately??
Do you have a tire that you keep having to add air to??
How many miles on the vehicle??
It is common with modern vehicles to see an AWD off/unavailable message when the check engine light has illuminated, this is a side effect, not the cause of the problem.
I would believe there are faults that are reoccurring, the problem hasn’t been resolved yet.
