I am experiencing a metallic rotational rubbing sound, in 1st gear, when turning hard left at low speeds (approx 5mph), and was told by mechanic that this is possibly due to the car being a manual. He suggested that it was related to the gear differential of the manual engine. Has anyone experienced this and/or have thoughts on this?
The car has been inspected on a lift by 2 separate VW dealerships, as well as private mechanic and no one is able to find anything wrong with it. 7,000 miles. thank you
