Repaint the hood. Best to do this asap to minimize rust formation and corrosion damage to the hood… If you need to defer the paint job, ask a good body shop suggestions your can do now to minimize rust formation in the meantime. Applying wax will work, but the body shop might suggest something else, b/c the wax may interfere with the paint job later.
