Four days after repair of leaking oil pan discovered major oil leak. Oil dipstick shows approx 25 % overfill. 6 cylinder front wheel drive.
What’s risk of damage.
You need to drain the oil out to the proper level. and find a new mechanic.
To make sure I understand correctly… You had the oil pan leak repaired (I guess new oil pan gasket which means oil was changed also)… If the oil filter was not replaced (oil change was recently done?) then they may have put the total amount of oil when oil filter is included… But not sure what your version of 25% over is… If it is only about a 1/4 of the min/max line over then not to bad, but if it is 1/4 the way up the dipstick then that is very bad… A picture is worth a 1000 words…
Your statements seen to contradict each other. Suggest to explain better how a major oil leak could result in 25% overfilled?
I agree, but I am thinking it is due to a lack of punctuation, I am guessing that OP had a major oil leak repaired and 4 day later found the 25% over full issue… I could be way off though…
I will leave you with this, lol
I’m giving up drinking for a month…
Sorry, That came out wrong…
I/m giving up… Drinking for a month…
The environment is one thing at risk. Good that you are on the path to repair.
