2017 Ford Escape - Transmission issue

My 2017 Ford Escape AWD with 36,500 miles makes high pitch noise sometimes when transmission shifts. The local garage says they think it’s front bearing differential. Suggested i take it to a FORD dealer because the drive train warranty is 5 years & 60,000 miles. Do you think Ford will fix it because i have had car for 5 years & 1 month?

Let the dealer answer that as an answer on the web means nothing.

You should absolutely try. It won’t be the dealer’s decision ultimately. Ford may extend your warranty a month if the miles and maintenance are also in your favor. During COVID’s peak, warranty extensions by automakers were routine.
