Need help have a 2013 ford escape 71000 miles transmissin is blown need to have it replaced. Is there any recourse. I have heard lots of complaints about the transmission

Ford has a 5 year/60,000 miles powertrain warranty.Unfortunately,yours is out of warranty by 11,000 miles. Ford recalled some of these vehicule for transmission issues.

You might go by the Ford dealer and see if they will help you out as a “goodwill” gesture, since this transmission issue is apparently a known problem. All they can say is no.

Even if the dealer offers nothing, you may get some help from Ford as goodwill gesture. Contact them via the method described in your owners manual.
