we got a msg “low battery charge”…has not come back on for the rest of today…any ideas or concerns

Have the battery checked. It might be time for a new one OR you just didn’t drive it far enough to get the battery charged back after the start.
also check serpentine belt for contaminants and proper tension. Do not use belt dressing
