My daughter owns a 2016 Ram 1500 4 door short bed with V6 and 4WD. She lives in California and travels throughout western states in rural agricultural areas for her job. Her truck’s gas filler neck frequently traps fuel nozzles fitted with California recirculatory fume bonnets. The problem usually takes upward of a couple hours to release the nozzle unless she is able to find a local mechanic familiar with the problem. She’s had no problems refueling in states outside of California. Her local dealer said they have no cure for the problem and no recall exists.
