I am looking to buy the 1794 edition . Is this a good truck .
1776 was a lot more important year.
But seriously , just plan to spend 100 to 125 dollars and have a mechanic look at what ever you want to buy used. That will improve your chance of getting a decent used vehicle .
As far as being a good truck when it was new, the Tundra was. Like Volvo said, if it’s used it could have issues that could be found by a mechanic (or yourself if you’re very mechanically inclined). But the Tundra engine and transmission are a proven design. Reliable, but the 5.7 liter V8 is a little thirsty.
A friend of ours has one and loves it, not the 1794 edition which is the top of the line but it works quite well for his towing and camper needs. My brother has a 2012 Sequoia that he’s had for about a year and has only needed to do routine services to the truck.
