How does the Subaru Crosstrek hybrid hold up, especially the battery?
Do you want to elaborate on your question? Batteries are very inexpensive and easy to change.
I do not have the car. I need a car and I am considering Subaru Crosstrek hybrid. I see that multiple used are available–2015-2017, but I wondered how they hold up and if the battery wears out. Thanks.
Consumer Reports gave the 2015 XV Crosstrek a 4/5 rating for reliability based on owner reports. Top trouble areas were in-car electronics and “drive system” along with “Body Integrity.” The 2015 XV Crosstrek is one of many Subarus covered under an engine defect class action settlement related to oil consumption that can lead to engine failure. I personally would not purchase a used hybrid . If you are concerned about the main battery you might want to determine if you really need a hybrid. I would also wonder why a 2017 was on the market that soon.
It is only 3 years old. Without a time machine how could anyone fid out how well they held up?
