Accessories are powered for a timed period after ignition is turned off. Shortly after turn-off, the message appears,"System off to save battery. Please turn ignition off,or start engine.’ Kinda dumb,as the ignition is already off. 2nd car battery & charging system all check good. Is there some adjustable voltage setting that triggers this message?
I don’t know about adjustability. My Ford has the same feature, but I have only had it show up one time after listening to the radio for about an hour with the engine off.
Thanks. My Escape first did this a few years ago. I replaced the battery and had no problem until recently when the message and turn-off follows after 10 minutes or so of radio listening. Walmart says the battery is good and O’reilly says the alternator is good.
