Car has intermittent starting issue. Key will not activate starter. All other lights, gauges, chimes, etc. work just fine, but starter will not engage. Total silence from starter. After several attempts it will finally engage and start and all appears as normal. No other issues with operation. No warning lights, etc.,etc…
Have you had the battery tested? Assuming you have an automatic transmission, try starting the car with the selector in “neutral” and jiggle the lever. If it starts you have a bad neutral safety switch. If that fails the starter or solenoid could be bad.
