2014 dodge dart having issue

Okay so I have a 2014 dodge dart, recently bought it used, and today when I went to pull out of the parking lot of my apartment complex the battery died. I gently pulled over to the side and recranked it and it started again just fine. Wondering if anybody could provide some insight on what the issue could be!!

If you were able to crank and start it, it’s not your battery.

Additionally, I suggest that the OP should find a foreign car specialist because his “Dodge Dart” is actually a Fiat in disguise… and that’s not a good thing.

Why do you say the battery died? Don’t you mean the engine died?

Was the check engine light glowing yellow before the engine died?

Yes the engine died and yes the check engine light was on this morning when I started it. I only say battery because when the engine died the battery light was flashing red on the dash during that. Far from an expert on cars; was just looking for any thoughts.

Which every mechanic needs to be now-a-days.

Otherwise. your not going to find a job.

Tester

Take it to a well rated independent auto repair shop. The check engine is telling you something is wrong as is the flashing battery light. Expect to pay a diagnostic fee just to find the problem and more to repair it.

Reliability is one big reason these are no longer sold… Good Luck

Does your owner’s manual say anything about the meaning of a flashing battery warning light? That’s an unusual symptom by the typical comments we get here. It sounds like the best option is to start with a battery/charging system test. You might be able perform a diy’er version of this test if you know how to use a volt meter and have one to use for the test. If unsure, just take your car to the dealership or a good shop. A battery/charging system test is a routine thing for them.

The battery symbol is the charging system warning light, it is normal for this light to illuminate after the engine stalls.

It is possible for the battery to cause stalling: low cranking voltage during starting can cause the throttle body to lose calibration, but more likely there is an electrical problem with the throttle body or an engine sensor.

With the Multi-Air engine, oil level is important, check the engine oil.
