The engine light came on and I was told that the Cam Sensor needs to be replaced. My 2013 VW CC has 30,000 miles on it.
So replace the cam sensor and drive on. Stuff happens, things break. If you want more, please ask a question.
Do you know what the code was? Often times camshaft or crankshaft position codes are caused by a timing chain issue and not a bad sensor. If you have a 4cyl the timing issue is a common major failure.
